What does the charging time of my vehicle depend on?
Although Gio charging stations have DC fast charging functionality up to 300 kW, the charging time of your vehicle depends on the speed at which the vehicle can take in energy.
What happens if I leave my vehicle on charge?
We have other customers who want to charge their vehicle after you at our Gio stations. You are expected to leave the station when your charging process is finished so that they do not experience delays. Delays exceeding 5 minutes may incur a penalty charge.
Which vehicles can use your stations?
All electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles can use GIO charging stations.
What do I need to do before using a GIO station?
To be able to charge your vehicle at GIO’s public charging stations, you need to download the GIO mobile app or have a GIO card.
Where are your charging stations?
Our public charging stations are indicated in the “Map” menu in your mobile app. You can also view our stations on our website. In addition, if you want to install a charger for private use in your home or workplace, you can apply for one by filling out the “Contact Us” form in the mobile app or using the form on our website.
Where can I check the availability of charging stations?
You can check the availability of all charging stations and sockets via the GIO mobile app.
How do I start/end the charging process at GIO’s public charging stations?
Make sure the charging cable is connected to your car to start charging. You can then start the charging process by scanning your GIO card in the field on the device or by scanning the QR code on the device using the GIO mobile app. To finish the charging process, you can also scan your GIO card or click on the “Stop Charging” button via the mobile app.
What should I do if the charging cable snaps during charging?
When the charging process starts, the charging cable is locked to the station and vehicle separately, allowing no interventions from the outside. If you encounter a technical problem and notice that the charging cable is coming out, you can contact us via the Call Center.
